The Center for Quantitative Biological Simulation is making every effort to ensure that the information available on our Web site is accessible to the widest possible audience. Your Personal Information and Software Registration
We value our visitors and take your personal privacy seriously. When you visit our website, you do so without every telling us who you are or revealing any information about yourself. Personal information like your name, institution name, email address, telephone number, postal address, etc. is obtained only when voluntarily submitted. There are a few occasions when personal information from you is needed:
- MCell & DReAMM software registration;
- Workshop registration; Surveys and other online forms;
- While requesting technical support or consultation.
Providing us with this information is optional. Personal information is collected online is used for our records only. We do not provide any information to third parties for any reason. Software Registration information is only used to validate your affiliation with an academic or research institution. We may use personal information collected from you to respond to you, contact you, or provide you with information or services.
Web Server Logs
In order to administer this site, we maintain and track usage through Web server logs. These logs provide such information as the types of browsers or operating systems are being used, traffic flow, and search keywords. We use this information only to improve the content and navigation features of our site. Anonymized or aggregated forms of this data maybe used to identify future features to develop for the site and provide better software support.

By using the Microphysiology Gateway, you signify your assent to these policies. We reserve the right to update these policies at any time, so that you are always aware of the what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it.

Copyright on the Microphysiology Gateway and all materials included in it owned by the Center for Quantitative Biological Simulation and Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center. You may not copy, distribute, enter into a database, display, perform, create derivative works of, transmit or otherwise use any materials or software applications without consent from the Center for Quantitative Biological Simulation.
Software Distribution
Software applications may only be used by persons affiliated with an academic or research institution. We reserve the right to decline your application for use of our software if we find that your purposes are not academic or research related. Applicants must complete the Software Registration form with accurate and as detailed information as possible for consideration.
